Course Overview
This one-day course teaches and refreshes your knowledge with a logical, predictable and reproducible approach to endodontics. With countless clinical tips and skills, you will walk away armed to perform high quality endodontic treatments in general practice, all in a conducive and supportive environment.
Teaching Points Include:
- Getting your imaging right including when, why and how to take and interpret CBCT
- Modern conservative access cavity design including managing pulp stones, canal location, MB2, upper premolars, lower incisors
- Rotary instrument selection and technique including length determination with apex locators
- Activating your irrigants and using medicaments
- Thermoplastic (warm gutta percha) Obturation technique – fast, predictable, and adaptable to almost every situation
- Plus, numerous practical tips and advice for trouble-free endodontics.
Pre-requisites
Participants are requested to bring:
– Minimum 3 unmounted extracted, disinfected teeth (including one molar) which have been pre-accesses at home (acceptable disinfection is soaking in 10% formalin or autoclaving), and one 3D printed molar will be provided by the organisers for hands on experience.
– Loupes and headlight.
